Nutie Sreedharan

Profile

Winner of the Best Child Photography Award 2016 from the reputed Shari Academy of Professional Photography, Nutie Sreedharan is also a proud certified Master Craftsman from the same institute. She specializes in product, fashion, portraits, industrial and fine art. She is an alumnus of Sir JJ School of Arts and was awarded the National Award for being the Best Portrait Photographer of her time. Nutie Sreedharan Says:

“In today's busy life, photography provides a window into a different spectrum of routine things; in a way, it is a form of meditation. #PictureBoltaHai Photography Contest, run by IndianOil, motivates its employees to stay still, observe, appreciate and capture the subject in a way that depicts their personality. We saw a number of thoughtful and creative entries, which shows that the employees do have a beautiful creative side to them as well. This is commendable indeed! Kudos to the team!”

Ratan Gaikwad

Profile

A passionate journalist by profession, he has been in the field of photography for the last 10 years. His relationship with photography, however, can be traced right back to his school days when his film camera was a part of his daily life. He specializes in the documentary approach to his subjects, and handles photo and video assignments with equal poise. He revels in those magical moments of his subjects when captured on camera. The most striking feature about Ratan’s photography is his attention to detail that makes people reach out to him over and over again.

Ratan Gaikwad Says:

“The topics given for the competition are very thoughtful; it covers a wide range of aspects of the corporate as well as personal life. Innovation is one of the core values of corporate life. We saw quite a good number of entries in this category. Care, Passion and Trust are abstract forms and depicting them in the images to be captured or created, needs silent observation and a deep connection with the subject. Few of the submitted entries entirely fulfilled these parameters. This level of work coming from amateur photographers is very appreciable and inspiring at the same time. We wish all the participants a beautiful journey through photography.”

"Care is certainly the first word that comes to one's mind when you think of pottery. The image is beautifully composed and the monotone palette does justice to the focus and effort that the photographer is trying to convey through this image. "

"Seldom do we pay attention to the minute and beautiful emotions that nature displays; this image is one such example of the bond that exists between animals as well. The expression on the little monkey's face tells the viewer that all is well when he is in his mother's caring embrace."

About the Contest

‘#Pictureboltahai’ is the annual photography contest held by IndianOil’s, Western Regional Office for employees of Western Region & its locations and Head Office. This employee engagement activity provides opportunity to the employees to showcase their creative side. This is its third edition.

The response to this year’s #Pictureboltahai Contest held in February, 2020 was truly overwhelming. We had 43 participants, sending in as many as 102 entries.

A two-member panel of external judges, Nutie Sreedharan and Ratan Gaikwad, evaluated the submissions and admittedly had a tough time while evaluating the entries.
