The contest has brought forward the creativity and imagination from all the contestants. A good photographer must have a very keen eye for detail to ensure that all elements within the photo—the lighting, the composition, the subject, and everything else in between—work together harmoniously to convey the right vision or message. Even the tiniest detail can make or break a photograph. We could see those details in most of the pictures submitted. Let this skill inspire you to work harder and become the photographer you’ve always wanted to be.”

" Technically very sound photo with circular composition. Eye of viewer roams within frame watching the activity curiously what is happening. One blur hand of person sitting right side shows the dynamicity of frame. It also shows that picture is taken in low available light. Opened index finger of another person works as pointer forcing viewer's eye to look into the scene.

Emotionally this is very strong photo showing the deep relationship of togetherness which is the very foundation of home."

"This is beautiful landscape decorated by crisp sharpness, greater depth of field, vibrant colours and with diagonal lines giving a rhythm to otherwise a still frame. Emotionally it is a strong photo spreading positive message of how one can feel peace and calmness in such a horrifying atmosphere of pandemic and also the importance of unpolluted nature in our life. "

" Very good photo with beautiful golden light in skyline. Beautiful golden rim light on the dog looks very nice. Photo has strong emotional value. Dog is also confined to the home boundary due to pandemic and so seems to be very down. One can also guess that the dog is waiting for his master to home from the work, a homely feeling "

About the Contest

‘#PictureBoltaHai’ is the annual photography contest held by IndianOil’s Western Region for employees of Western Region & its locations and State Offices. This employee engagement activity provides opportunity to the employees to showcase their creative side. This is its fifth edition.

The response to this year’s #PictureBolt Hai Contest held in July 2021 was truly overwhelming. We have received as many as 103 entries.

A two-member panel of external judges Dr Shivnarayan Joshi and Mr Mohan Bane, evaluated the submissions and admittedly had a tough time while evaluating the entries.
